David will cover various ways to save money and better utilize retirement accounts during your transition. He will also cover tax rules and loopholes associated with 401(k) accounts, as well as a little touch on Cobra. Tips on how to cut expenses without sacrificing standard of living while the income is much lower will be presented. A Q&A will follow and he will take questions on tax rates and loopholes, market conditions, insurance, budgeting, and other questions relevant to the topic. Time for networking in the middle of the presentation will be included.

Breakout Session: One of the realities of a down economy is that we, or someone we know, may be contacted by a collection agency. How this situation is handled could have long-lasting effects. If you would like to know more about options and available resources, Brett Newmyer, a former debt collector, will offer some helpful guidelines on how to deal with this potentially stressful situation in a Breakout Session after the LPNet meeting.
